What this report checks
Results describe this check from KSP’s network at the time shown. A warning is a reason to investigate; it does not automatically mean a service is broken.
WHOIS lookup
Look up a domain or public IP address using official registry RDAP records. Subdomains are checked under their registered domain.
Raw registry response
WHOIS lookup with current registry data
Enter a domain, subdomain or public IPv4/IPv6 address. This tool uses RDAP, the structured successor to traditional WHOIS, and selects the registry through IANA’s public bootstrap data. A subdomain such as www.ksp.ca is checked as ksp.ca.
What the record can tell you
Domain records can include a registrar, registration and expiry dates, status codes, nameservers and DNSSEC delegation status. IP records describe an allocated network and may include its registered organization, range and published abuse contacts. Registry country describes allocation, not the physical location of a device.
Some registries withhold owner names, email addresses and other personal details. Missing or redacted details are not an error. Registry availability and published fields vary. A missing record does not prove a domain can be registered.
Use the evidence for troubleshooting
Compare registrar and nameserver details when investigating delegation changes. Expiry dates reflect the registry’s published record; confirm renewal status with your registrar. Copy the summary or export JSON for a support ticket. Results can be cached for up to 24 hours; choose Run fresh lookup to request another registry response.
Reference files for registry selection and registered-domain boundaries are checked weekly. Failed updates retain the last validated data. Use the DNS checker to test current DNS answers and the IP lookup for country and network estimates.
Follow the delegation
Compare the parent delegation with the answers your nameservers actually return.
Check the mail path
Inspect MX hosts, SPF, DMARC and discovered or exact DKIM keys.
