FINDMYIP.CA
Why does my Starlink IP show another country?
Compare the country database with Starlink’s published feed and check the source dates.

Look up an IP address or hostname
Enter a public IP address or DNS hostname. Hostnames are resolved to their public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

What this report checks
Results describe this check from KSP’s network at the time shown. A warning is a reason to investigate; it does not automatically mean a service is broken.
Check the address seen by the affected service
Start with the public IP shown above, or enter the public IP that a service or security gateway recorded. If a device uses a VPN, the visible address may belong to the VPN exit instead of Starlink. IPv4 and IPv6 can also use different public addresses and country classifications.
Compare the country sources
For addresses covered by Starlink’s published geofeed, this tool compares the provider’s country with a local DB-IP estimate. It highlights disagreement and shows source check times. A newly published Starlink range may be identified by the feed before the ASN database catches up; an unknown ASN remains unknown.
A disagreement means the sources differ. It does not prove that a device moved or that a particular security product is wrong. City and region are shown only where the provider publishes them, and are estimates rather than an exact location.
Troubleshoot a country-based block
- Record the exact public IP, address family and time of the failed connection.
- Compare the report’s DB-IP and Starlink countries and their check times. Treat stale data cautiously.
- Ask the affected service or security vendor which geolocation database and country it currently uses for that address.
- If a classification needs correction, send the IP, provider evidence and dates to that service’s support process. Re-test both IPv4 and IPv6 after the correction.
The optional IPv4/IPv6 test contacts ipify only when you click it. An unconfirmed path is not proof that IPv6 is disabled.
What a country change means here
The report compares retained dataset versions. History starts with available observations on October 15, 2026; it cannot reconstruct earlier changes. A detection time marks an observed data change, not a proven physical move. Starlink refreshes are checked hourly; failed updates retain the last working data.
Provider evidence: Starlink’s published geofeed. This tool does not modify country-filtering or allowlist rules.
