Common DKIM selectors are checked automatically. Use DKIM options for an exact selector or email header.

Check the direct DMARC record

Enter your domain and run the DNS report. Find the DMARC result to inspect the TXT record published at _dmarc.example.com, along with the checker’s findings and suggested next steps.

DMARC ties the visible From domain to successful, aligned SPF or DKIM authentication. A published DMARC record alone does not prove that a particular message passes. Read a real received message’s Authentication-Results header when diagnosing a delivery issue.

Understand policy before changing it

The policy can request monitoring, quarantine or rejection. Changing to a stricter policy without identifying legitimate sending services can disrupt valid mail. Review your senders and reporting evidence with your mail provider before enabling enforcement.

When a legitimate message fails, check its envelope domain, DKIM signing domain and alignment with the visible From address. SPF and DKIM can authenticate a different domain successfully while the visible From domain remains unaligned.

Subdomain and delivery limitations

This tool checks the direct DMARC record for the requested domain. It does not calculate an effective inherited organizational-domain policy or verify an individual message’s authentication. If a subdomain has no direct record, investigate its parent policy before creating another record.

A receiving service also applies its own filtering decisions. Use this report as DNS evidence alongside mail logs and message headers, rather than treating it as a prediction of inbox placement.

Continue with the SPF and DKIM checks. Technical reference: DMARC specification, RFC 7489.
